Lively Lemon Petit Fours

Created for a dear co-worker leaving our unit and moving on to another position. This person will be sadly missed but the flavor will long be remembered.

Layered lemon filling in a white cake swirled with lavender and covered with lemon melted and pourabe fondant that is actually edible! Most fondants taste bland with a texture you don't want to eat. These Petit Fours are very tasty with flavors that pop!

Chocolate Drizzled Rainbow Cake

Birthdays are challenging and fun to create a certain atmosphere that makes memories for each family member to last a lifetime. Special cakes and decorations add to the excitement of families getting together with added sensations of a specialness each individual brings to the table. I enjoy seeing faces experience their choices help to create. This cake again is Milk Free...surprising that chocolate can be without milk and still wonderful.

Fabulous Petit fours!

When asked to make Petit Fours I knew I could master it as I love recipes and creating what is requested to make. Coconut flavors are astounding whether plain or toasted. This has been a very fun project. I hope you enjoy!

New projects coming soon!

The first new project is a retirement cake for a very dear man who loves the outdoors and Mount Rainier. His cake choice is a carrot cake that is soooo very flavorful and awesome.  It is milk free but he opted to have cream cheese filling which is zesty orange and definately has cream cheese in it. The beauties of making cakes to order is that the person ordering the cake gets to decide what they want in it.  There is nothing like homemade carrot cakes with all the goodies that commercial cakes don't add due to the cost.

The second project coming this weekend is the Heart and Flowers cake. It is a yellow milk free cake and icing.Fondant covered with fondant and gum paste Calla Lilly flowers. Here is a picture of one of the Calla Lillies!

I have never thought that the flowers would ever look so natural! I am please and excited for more projects to come, but weekend will have these two projects listed. Hope you enjoy looking at the things that excite me as they are in the creation process!

The Starting of a New Adventure

My Passion for decorating cakes and cupcakes is to bring joy and smiles to a wide variety of people. I especially enjoy baking milk free and for all those who have various food allergies trying to use simple ingredients. I try to stay away from the chemical additives that have hidden the true good tastes of cakes made from scratch and not out of a box. I started this journey to find a way where everyone can be included in a celebration regardless of food allergies or sensitivities to foods. It draws out my creativity!
